Prime Minister Allen Chastanet has congratulated Dr. Keith Rowley and the People’s National Movement (PNM) on their new mandate to continue serving Trinidad & Tobago for 5 more years.

“We wish you, your team and the people of T&T great success throughout this new term and we look forward to working together to build a more united and prosperous region,” Chastanet wrote on his official Facebook page on Tuesday.

Rowley’s PNM secured a 22-19 seat victory over the United National Congress in the 2020 General Election.

The political leader of the United National Congress Kamla Persad-Bissessar refused to concede defeat, saying that her party will be asking for recounts in marginal areas, local reports say.
