Saint Lucia Police Arrest Four Men For Illegal Guns, Ammo

Saint Lucia police have arrested four males in the Babonneau area, following the discovery of illegal guns and ammunition, law enforcement officials have reported.

The officials disclosed that one .40 calibre pistol and one .357 revolver were seized, along with six rounds of ammunition as a result of ‘targetted patrols’ in the early hours of Saturday morning.

They told St Lucia Times that the two firearms were recovered in ‘unrelated incidents’.

The seizures come in the wake of a recent upsurge in gun violence, especially in the Saint Lucia capital – Castries.

Last month, Acting Police Commissioner Milton Desir announced that the government has approved some rewards for persons who give information leading to the recovery of illegal guns.

“That reward;  it would range – depending on the information given and the type of firearm recovered; it may range from $3,500 to $5,000 where credible information is given and the firearms are recovered,” he revealed.

“Persons will remain anonymous and it is only from the Commissioner’s office that these persons would be dealt with,” Desir told MBC Prime.

  1. Pretty heavy caliber bullets. Just another $5,000 bail. They will be out pronto. Sh*t, they may already be out by the time I am finished with this sentence.

  2. My comment is the police should remove their wisdom teeth with the same gun because they don’t have a future that’s all their strength and believing in committing crime and they feel that they’re above the law what the law should do now is to get the sose of where it’s coming from but again The crooked cops will be up front to run that program

  3. Police have a habit of planting guns on the scene. Good luck with this entiative. After chicot accepted only $1500 for the officers. Now a phone call to recover a fire arm ranging from $3500 to $5000. Even their own guns may be missing just now. Corruption has just began. Once they recover a firearm whether it be through a tip off of not someone will get paid.

  4. But sometimes, the call to report about the fire arm,and it belongs to them just to get the money.money talks bullshit walks

  5. Will these 4 receive a pat on their backs also, because of lack of legislation, or because of no revision of our laws?
If so, let the government continue to ignore crime, and only think of Economic growth and all the rest!

  6. I am.positive bail .Suitable Surety and Report to Central Station twice a week .That Judicary Shitstem in St.Lucia makes the police look very bad with these Unlicensed Firearms Cases in the Courts
