Saint Lucia Police Welcome 49 New Members

Prime Minister Allen Chastanet has reiterated his government’s commitment to providing the resources necessary for members of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) to fight crime and make Saint Lucia a safer place.

Chastanet on Friday attended the graduation of Course 36 of the RSLPF Academy at La Toc.

Writing on his official Facebook page, the PM said it was  an afternoon of inspiring speeches and advice to the forty nine newest members of the police force.

“These young men and women have taken on the job of police officers to serve Saint Lucia without fear or favour. Their enthusiasm and perseverance during twenty eight weeks of training is a sign of their dedication and commitment to this profession,” Chastanet asserted.

“Their precision drilling, camaraderie, and enthusiasm are encouraging signs of their willingness to work as a team, and will be the foundation to their lives in the real world of policing,” he said.

“As they go forth into their new career I would like to wish them all the best and thank their families for being supportive of their decision to become police officers,” Chastanet wrote.

He congratulated  all the award winners, especially Best Recruit PC 153 Luciano Guarde for their exemplary achievements.

  1. Where is the minister of security? Mr. PM, we need much more than49 to add to the man power; hope you have 300 more under going training! and don’t forget other resources needed in the police force! we are short of resources in all departments! we also needs laws to protect our law enforcers!

  2. Well you can recruit as many as possible if you find 49 isn’t enough for you you can also find some more resources to give to those you going to recruit . all i can say to those 49 that got selected not to put them self between cornmeal and flour cause it’s difficult to separate them apart. And hoping that they don’t get lazy like those lazy bastards just waiting for the pay

  3. Yea 49 children to sit on their backsides and eat my tax money while we hve almost 800 unsolved murders going back decades. Chupps tan.
