Saint Lucia Records 63 New COVID-19 Cases

On Sunday, June 5, 2022, the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs confirmed 63 new cases of COVID-19 from 204 samples processed the previous day.

According to a Ministry release, 186 samples were from the Ezra Long Laboratory and 18 from the Laboratory Services and Consultations Limited collected on June 3, 2022, and June 4, 2022.

These new cases bring the total number of cases diagnosed in Saint Lucia to 26 206.

Health officials also received confirmation of the recovery of 106 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19.

The total active cases in the country to date is 620.

And the Ministry of Health Currently says there are twenty-six positive cases of COVID-19 admitted at the Respiratory Hospital, of which two are severely ill, and two are critically ill.

To date, 54 044 individuals have been fully vaccinated, while another 5 331 are partially vaccinated, and 7 501 have received their booster shot.

Vaccination resumes Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at various Wellness Centres from 9 am to 12 noon.
