Saint Lucia Records 63 New COVID-19 Cases

Press Release:-  Today Wednesday December 29, 2021 the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs confirms a total of 63 new cases of COVID-19.

These samples were processed on Tuesday December 28, 2021 at the Ezra Long Laboratory and Laboratory Services and Consultations Limited from a total of 368 samples, which were collected on December 27, 2021 and December 28, 2021.

This number of positive cases makes up 17.12% of all the samples processed on that date. These new cases bring the total number of cases diagnosed in country to date to 13, 473.

Confirmation was also received of the recovery of 83 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19. This brings the number of active cases in country to date to 223. Currently, there are 19 positive cases of COVID-19 admitted at the Respiratory Hospital, of which one of these active cases is in critical care and five of them are severely ill.

To date, a total of 49, 193 individuals have been fully vaccinated. Another 6, 467 are partially vaccinated and 3, 174 have received their booster shot.

Vaccination will resume tomorrow Thursday December 30, 2021 at the Vieux-Fort RC Parish Hall and Monchy Wellness Centre from 9am to 4 pm.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs will continue providing daily updates to the public as new information becomes available.

  2. There is no state of emergency so how CAN THEY ENFORCE A CURFEW….PPL WILL DO AS THEY PLEASE ITS UR REAPONSIBILITY OWN UP TO IT…..YOU DONT NEED A SLAVE MASTER ON YOUR BACK TO PROTECT YOUR FAMILY

  3. I think we need to be more responsible as citizens of this country. Self discipline and moderation is very important. Life is all about balance. Don’t put yourself in harm’s way of being infected with this virus deliberately, stay focused and be wise. Eat healthy, boost your immune system and have a blessed and peaceful day.

  4. Yes they need to be more proactive however no one has put a gun to anyone’s head and told them they need to go out. We are always making excuses “not my fault uh”

  5. Joker pjp administration are serious 1am curfew for lucians or for your high profile people..don’t worry the virus and the criminals will surely teach you a lesson..but Philip doesn’t care poor jab lucians

  6. This administration is not proactive. I suppose these ministers will do the righr thing when they are negatively affected. It’s like , there is nobody to look up to and nobody to save us. It’s like you sink or float . We are going to start the new year on the wrong foot.

  7. well its a deliberate act…i am not saying that something is not wrong mind you but expect in the coming weeks figures will go up…then lockdown then more vaccine mandates….st lucians prepare ourselves…..they gonna do it

  8. The numbers are climbing and the idiots are extending the hours for parties and pleasure… the ham will come to bake by mid-January 2022.
