Saint Lucia Records 88 New COVID-19 Cases

Today Wednesday July 27, 2022 the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs reports a total of 88 new cases of COVID-19 from samples processed from Monday July 25, 2022 and Tuesday July 26, 2022.

This is from a total of 340 samples, of which 313 samples are from the Ezra Long
Laboratory and 27 samples from the Laboratory Services and Consultations Limited.

These samples were collected from July 23, 2022 to July 26, 2022. This number of positive cases makes up 25.2% of all the samples processed on these dates. These new cases bring the total number of cases diagnosed in country to date to 27, 843.

Confirmation was also received of the recovery of 68 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19. This brings the number of active cases in country to date to 205. Currently, there are seven positive cases of COVID-19 admitted at the Respiratory Hospital.

To date, a total of 54, 550 individuals have been fully vaccinated. Another 5, 228 are partially vaccinated and 7, 708 have received their booster shot.

Vaccination will take place at various Wellness Centres around the island as per the published COVID-19 vaccination schedule. Vaccination will be available from 9am to 4pm.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs will continue providing frequent updates to the public as new information becomes available.

  1. So now results are given once or twice a week. Death announcements indicate that about 6 people died recently at VH, but not one death had been included in the figures if and when they are given. Sad state of affairs in St Lucia that all media personnel have become mute all in a sudden.

  3. You aught to be deaf, dumb and blind not to have known that wouldn’t happen after Carnival. The poor Hospital workers have their work cut out for them. ‘Yes God will help them.’
