Saint Lucia Records Another Road Death

Saint Lucia has chalked up another road death.

According to the police, Mickail Noel of La Ressource, Vieux Fort, is the latest road fatality.

A law enforcement official told St Lucia Times that Noel died at 8.02 Tuesday morning at St Jude Hospital.

The 32 year old was one of the drivers involved in a collision between a Suzuki Vitara and a Mercedes Benz car in Micoud last month.

Mon Repos resident Theresa Jules, 49, was pronounced dead shortly after that collision.

Road accidents were among the factors cited by an official of Victoria Hospital as putting pressure on the resources of the institution.

A release  from the Department of Health and Wellness  recently announced that because of the increase of Intensive Care Unit ICU patients, the hospital was suspending elective and day surgeries until further notice.

  1. This is definitely not the fifth road death for the year. there is an incident which happened in canaries on the 2nd of february and it has made the the news, the gentleman died on friday the 7th of february.

  2. st lucians can’t drive. the roads are bad. not enough regulations in place for speeding. not enough bumps on the road to stop them from speeding. the virtual absence of traffick lights everywhere except 2 in the city. not enough enforcement of traffic laws. in short, st lucia is a mess and people are dying because of it.
