Saint Lucia Records Nine New COVID-19 Cases

The Ministry of Health and Wellness on Friday announced confirmation from the Ezra Long Laboratory of 9 new cases of COVID-19, from a total of 217 samples taken during the period July 20, 2021 to July 22, 2021 and processed on July 22, 2021.

The nine new infections bring the total number of cases diagnosed in country to date
to 5516.

The Ministry also confirmed the recovery of 12 individuals bringing the total number of active cases in country to date to 104.

And as of July 22, 2021 a total of 31, 977 individuals had received the first dose of the
COVID-19 vaccine and 23, 821 individuals have received the second dose.

The Ministry of Health has encouraged all unvaccinated adults 18 years and older to get vaccinated to protect themselves, family, loved ones and others from the COVID-19 virus.
