Saint Lucia Triumphs Over Anguilla In CONCACAF Women’s Football

By Terry Finisterre

Saint Lucia opened their campaign in the Concacaf women’s under-17 football tournament with a 2-1 Group A win over Anguilla on Wednesday evening in Honduras.
Both goals were scored by Krysan St. Louis, giving Saint Lucia the lead on each occasion.
After scores were deadlocked 0-0 at halftime, St. Louis netted to put Saint Lucia up 1-0, then scored the game winner after Anguilla had equalised.
St. Louis, who hails from Vieux Fort South, is also the captain of the Saint Lucia under-20 women’s team, which in July finished second in their group, to advance to the second round of Concacaf qualifiers.
