Saint Lucia Zouks Chalk Up First Win

Saint Lucia Zouks  have picked up their first win of the 2019 Caribbean Premier League.

All rounder Rahkeem Cornwall’s 30-ball 75  made a large contribution to the victory over Jamaica Tallawahs by five wickets at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica.

Fellow opener Andre Fletcher hit an unbeaten 47 as the Zouks chased  the 171-run target in 16.4 overs.

But the game was not without incident.

Tallawahs’ Andre Russell was hit on the back of the head by a bouncer from Hardus Viljoen and had to be carried from the field on a stretcher.

He was given the all clear after being taken to hospital where a scan was done.

  1. Yes great win,…buuuuut they still comit stupid mistakes, why go after some stupid high ball and get yourself caught. Why does Sammy,go for all the balls they taunte him to hit and get himself out,he hasent been able to score more than six runs .He has a mental problem instead of being a cool thinking smart captain. And I love the guy,hes a hell of a player,he has had fantastic performances.
