Saint Lucians held in Martinique homicide

Two Saint Lucian brothers are the prime suspects in the shooting death of a  young man in Martinique.

The two suspects are currently in police custody, according to Martinique 1 Ere.

The publication said one of the brothers – the alleged shooter, surrendered to law enforcers on Christmas Day morning, while the other brother was arrested in the afternoon.

24 year old Sebastien Goujon was shot in the stomach and died later in hospital from his injuries.

The shooting on Christmas Eve night is alleged to have followed a dispute between the victim and the two Saint Lucian men.

The dispute apparently was over money.

According to reports, the men all knew each other.

The victim’s sister who was present at the scene summoned the emergency services.

The seriously wounded Goujon was taken to the Pierre Zobda Quitman hospital in Fort-de-France, but  succumbed to his injuries a few hours later.
