Saint Lucians To Pay More For LPG, Less For Kerosene

Press Release:- The Public is hereby notified that in keeping with changes in international oil prices and Government’s application of the modified market pass-through petroleum pricing mechanism, the retail price of kerosene, LPG 20, 22 and 100 lb cylinders has changed. The retail price of gasoline and diesel remains unchanged. The price changes take effect from Monday, February 7, 2022.

  • GASOLINE remains unchanged at $3.07 per litre or $13.95 per gallon
  • Kerosene decreased from $2.51 to $2.33 per litre or $11.41 to $10.57 per gallon 
  • Diesel remains unchanged at $3.07 per litre or $13.95 per gallon
  • 20 Pound Cylinder (9.07 kg) increased from $32.94 to $34.03 per cylinder 
  • 22 Pound Cylinder (9.98 kg) increased from $36.24 to $37.43 per cylinder 
  • 100 Pound Cylinder (45.36kg) increased from $232.78 to $243.64 per cylinder 

The Public is informed that the next adjustment of the retail price of fuel products will be on Monday, February 28, 2022.

Furthermore I said the last five adjustments, you reference the last adjustment which is about eleven dollars, which gives more credence to my point. Before you jump on the red bandwagon please read.

  2. which gas was increased by 40 dollars??? allen taught you maths??? from 232 to 243 is 40 dollars increase??? allen really taught u maths!!!

  3. I notice that people buying the 100lb cylinder is being made to pay for everyone once there is an increase in gas prices. Gasoline and diesel have been unchanged for the past 5 adjustments based on a statute passed by the last administration. However the 20lb and 22lb have only increased by a little more than two dollars and three dollars respectively in that corresponding 5 adjustments while the 100lb has gone up by over forty dollars. Why is this so?
