Sarah speaks on omission from Cabinet

Castries Central MP, Sarah Flood-Beaubrun, has been responding to questions about her omission from the list of cabinet ministers who were sworn in yesterday.

The swearing in ceremony was held at the Phillip Marcellin grounds in Vieux Fort.

“You will have to ask the Prime Minister, because he is the one that allocates ministries,” Flood-Beaubrun told reporters about the omission.

She added that she trusts that there is something in the making.

Flood Beaubrun served as Minister of Health, Human Services, Family Affairs and Gender Relations and Minister of Home Affairs and Gender Relations during two consecutive terms of a former Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) government.

She campaigned with the then opposition United Workers Party (UWP) in the last elections, winning the Castries Central seat with 2104 votes to the 1728 of her SLP challenger, Stanley Felix.

Her omission from the cabinet has left many Saint Lucians wondering as to the reason why.
