Schools remain closed today

Press Release:-The Ministry of Education has advised that all schools will remain closed today Tuesday 29th November 2016 due to the inclement weather. This also includes the closure of the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College.

Saint Lucia is currently experiencing inclement weather brought by an upper level trough that is producing showers and thunderstorms over the Lesser Antilles. This system is expected to continue to produce showers and isolated thunderstorms over the region as it moves towards the east.

Minister for Education, Innovation, Gender Relations and Sustainable Development Honourable Dr. Gale T. C. Rigobert made a statement this morning advising that parents and guardians keep children at home in order to ensure safety while the island is experiencing this weather system.
