Seven persons were injured and taken to St Jude hospital Thursday morning following a collision involving three vehicle, emergency officials have reported.

They said the injuries did not appear to be life threatening.

According to the officials, the collision occurred shortly before 9.00 a.m. at the Desruisseaux junction.

The Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) responded with three ambulances, one each from the Micoud and Vieux Fort fire stations and one from ‘Crash Fire Hall’ at Hewanorra International Airport.

The vehicles involved in the collision were identified as a white pickup, a Honda CRV and a silver-coloured Suzuki Swift.

No other details were immediately available.
