A shooting incident at Active Hill, Castries, and a vehicle accident at La Fargue, Choiseul, promoted Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) responses Monday night.
An SLFS report says about 8:10 p.m. Fire Service Headquarters responded to a call regarding the Active Hill shooting.
Spokeswoman Stacy Joseph said the responders found a male individual in a sitting position.
He appeared to be in his twenties.
According to Joseph, emergency personnel found a penetrating wound on his body.
She said they transferred the patient to the ambulance, bandaged the wound and took him to the OKEU Hospital.
But earlier, Vieux Fort Fire Station responded about 7.30 pm to a road accident at La Fargue, Choiseul.
Emergency personnel found a vehicle which ran off the road with it’s passenger side wedged in a drain.
The responders found a male individual trapped in the vehicle.
As a result, they had to use an extrication device to free him.
“The patient sustained multiple visible fractures to his legs,” SLFS spokeswoman, Stacy Joseph disclosed.
However, she said responders transported him to a medical facility in stable condition.
