Shooting Victim Victor Maurice Dies In Martinique

Former Civil Servant Victor Maurice passed away in Martinique Tuesday morning, law enforcement officials have confirmed.

Maurice was shot at his home in November last year.

He was taken to neighbouring Martinique for medical treatment, where he succumbed.

The shooting of Maurice came as a shock to those who knew him.

The ruling United Workers Party (UWP) described him as a loyal member who served the party for several years and from 2015 to 2016 served as Chairperson of the Castries South Constituency Branch.

He was remembered as being a very jovial man, known throughout Saint Lucia as he went from office to office daily selling his homemade healthy grains.

  1. Let that ne a lesson ro all politicians trying to manipulate the people of st lucia, stealing our money not wanting to build the hospitals or keep giving the foreigners our land. We are fed up

  2. Some Soul was violently stolen from his family – and idiots find something stupid to say.
When will people stop injecting politics into everything in St.Lucia. (killer – the devil got your soul )

  3. Victor Maurice will be sadly missed. He was a councillor on the CCC board where it is said that he made a sterling contribution which intimidated many persons of interest. I understood that he was sued for speaking the truth and was shot the day before the verdict was handed down. Waiting to hear the outcome of any investigation, if there was any.

  4. Once again those is high positions have silence the ordinary st.lucian trying to do good. Karma is real those responsible will pay in time
