At least two bullets pierced a parked bus at the Pavee bus stand in Castries Monday around 11:45 am in the latest flareup of gun violence in Saint Lucia.

But police investigating the incident said there were no reports of injuries.

A passerby who spoke to St Lucia Times on anonymity said he thought the Pavee bus had a tyre blowout when he heard the first gunshot.

He said there were about eight people on board the vehicle at the time of the incident.

  1. These thugs are ignorant, illiterate and disrespectful in every area. They have no regard for human life – man, woman or child. Who would be this sick to fire shots at a bus????. They do not want to educate themselves but would rather live the thug gangsta life. Poverty always existed in St Lucia and always will – however; the elders learned to make an honest living by farming, fishing, sewing, cooking, selling legal items etc.

However, THIS new generation of idle good for nothings are disrespectful and out of control. They are the devils workshop – (an idle mind). Find some books to read and educate yourselves instead of being idle. They do not respect or honor their parents and love to reap where they did not sow. Some parents are scared and on occasion partake of the ill gotten gains. It’s a demonic generational cycle of cursed malveetaays.

They are envious of others and want to impress folk in their community. St. Lucia is a small island if you want to honestly live in peace – work with your government and anonymously report who they are before it’s too late for you or your family. If you perceive that folk in government may or may not be corrupt.

I certainly understand that you may be afraid to report information in St. Lucia for fear of retaliation. If such is the case, and you know 100percent what you are stating are the facts (not hear say). Reach out to a relative/someone who lives outside of St. Lucia that you can trust and they can submit the information in your behalf without making mention of your name.

  2. Where are the drones for the Police Force, it is not the first time I am asking for this. I even made a donation about 3-4 years ago towards the purchase of one.
I suspect that that there is no serious will by some to fight crime because of many various reasons.
I want to applaud the honest and serious lawmen who try their best, but I know that due to circumstances cannot function as they would like to.

  3. Why is there not a better IT department in the RSLP? If there are so many supposed online posts and public videos sent isint it quite easy to track IP addresses and send a drone over the location to pinpoint…..kinda like 100smph suddenly plagerising my name here as I posted a remark praising the VF,120 officer, 4am bust! Yh… anyone else notice dat!… .? Some of u just come here for the comments…..

  5. Just a non political comment here for those who should know better. I want to know who is doing the homicide count for the RSLPF. Is it that Mouton Daisy? I remember a shooting in Castries brought it up to 24. After that there were at least 5 homicides before Jesus, who became the 27. Correct me if I am wrong but I know of more than one homicide since then, so how this is 28. Pierre get the Public Service Commission to get rid of these misleading officers.

  6. Whoever u are posing as my 100smp u can have it! SmPH@ Yo AS* Punk AS* PHoCking Poser! LMFASO and this sheets outta hand! St Lucia times and St Lucia where are the security camera footages? …SMPH

  7. If the bill gives discretion to magistrates/judges in sentencing, expect pure shate. This is time for mandatory sentencing. Once a criminal is found guilty, the punishment is already known.

If discretion is allowed, upper class thugs will be benefit from lighter sentencing. Every class violator must get the same medicine for the system to be credible.

  8. I can’t wait for hand grenades. This shooting thing is becoming tedious. Still no legislation to combat the scourge of gun violence. The only thing that excites government is Chas and his band of losers. A convocation of idiots.

  9. The prime Minister said its next Month he will have that Bill for the Upgrade of Unlicensed Fire arms and Ammunition read in the House of Assembly. St.Lucia is.an out of Hand Island in the Caribbean. Jamaica Number one Trinidad Nimber two and St.Lucia number three
