Shots Fired In Vieux Fort, Bullet Grazes Male

Gunshots shattered the relative quiet of the night Monday in the community of Westhall Group, Vieux Fort and when the shooting subsided, a male individual had been slightly injured – grazed by a bullet, according to reports.

Police responded after 7:00 p.m. to the report of high calibre weapons being fired at a house and found a number of spent shells, but no one was arrested.

One video posted on social media recorded the sound of the gunfire against the darkness of the night, followed by a scream and ironically, someone apparently chuckling.

A Vieux Fort resident told St Lucia Times that some two months ago, shots were fired at the same residence.
