Press Release:–  The St. Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association (SLHTA) acknowledges a letter published by the St Lucia Times dated 23rd November 2020, with the title “Independent Taxi Drivers Concerned”.

The SLHTA and its member Destination Management Companies (DMCs) wish to distance itself and esteemed members from this letter, purporting to be representing the sentiments of Destination Management Companies here in St Lucia.

The SLHTA advises that it has not consulted with any non-SLHTA entity, outside of its recent engagements with SLASPA on the matter of Tourism Ground Transportation handling at the Hewanorra International Airport.

We have, and continue to appreciate the cordial engagements between the members of our DMC subsector and the St Lucia Air and Seaport Authority (SLASPA).
