“More specifically, this victory resonates with the people of the Caribbean, recognizing that Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris is the daughter of a Jamaican immigrant, the first woman and person of color to be elected to one of the highest offices in the USA and the world,” Pierre said.

He explained that the Saint Lucia Labour Party recognises the importance of the USA’s bilateral relationship with Saint Lucia and the Caribbean and the integral role the USA will play in the recovery of the global economy.
