The Saint Lucia Labour Party celebrates the achievements of Hon. Philip J. Pierre, Political Leader, Prime Minister of Saint Lucia and Member of Parliament for Castries East, and Hon. Dr. Kenny D. Anthony, Former Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for Vieux Fort South who both celebrate 25 years of serving their constituencies.
On May 23rd, 1997, under the leadership of Hon. Dr. Kenny D. Anthony, the Saint Lucia Labour Party made history, winning 16 of the 17 constituency seats in Saint Lucia.
On his team, was Hon. Philip J. Pierre who became the Parliamentary Representative for Castries East.
Twenty five years later, the two six-term generals have undefeatedly continued representing their constituencies and Hon. Pierre is now the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia.
To mark this historic occasion, the Saint Lucia Labour Party will host a Thanksgiving Church Service this Sunday, July 24th at the Roman Catholic Sacred Heart Church in Marchand from 3:00pm.
This church service will also mark the one-year anniversary of the SLP administration who won the General Elections on July 26th, 2021.

  2. KENNY ANTHONY AND PJP THE PEOPLE THAT VOTED FOR YOU ALL LOVE YOU ALL..BUT YOU ALL DONT LOVE THEM..BUT WHEN GOD WILL COME FOR YOU ALL A LOT OF QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED

  3. The two of them have done nothing substantial for the country. Both represents shitty communities where crime is the order of the day. They might as well disappear for all I care because I see no legacy to measure them by for their 6 terms. Bullshit.

  4. Two generals of the modern political era of St Lucia PJP and KDA
If Compton brought light to st.lucia ,then Kenny brought enlightenment.

  5. To the Labour party, your PR really sucks.

This milestone was another perfect opportunity for achievements in these constituencies by their reps to be listed.

    • What achievements or legacy you talking about? Two backwards, crime infested constituencies. Well I guess in this is progress in most people’s eyes that’s why they are now serving 6 terms

  6. Look at the state of the ROADS in st Lucia look at the state of MARCHAND up to now Pierre cannot do nothing, but when the time will be coming for next elections they in the communities like flies on a sow

  7. @ The Laborie Guy:- “…….they join forces with a renowned drug dealer”
You certainly got that one right. The more Government changed, the more it remains the same.
Man changes, but the ‘Eternal Government above never changes.’

  8. Them star boys keep laughing at st.lucians all the way to the bank. He haw he haw he haw! Why do the lucian people keep voting for us? Because they can’t see within our poly tricks! Even coco 🐵 sells! Ken e and pierre and tony can sell a coconut to a monkey and still keep the change after that! Poor jab st. Lucians smh! When will we lucians stop being foolish and coo-yon!

  9. Slow day SLT. On days like today, it’s always an opportunity to showcase the usual suspects. That has been known to generate mucho traffic. Any of these names will do. Mary, Kenny, Chas, Hermangild, Guy and Hilaire.
When I grow up I want to be like Kenny. I want a trashed out district. One that is crime-ridden and extremely dangerous to the residents. I want to waste tax-payers money in harebrained projects. Most of all, I want to be known for thinking small. I can’t wait to grow up.

  10. This SLP government is always about party. Selfish rorocious and continuing to gloat. Boasting two long standing politicians that put us in this situation that we continue to overcome year after and look at our country still struggling at this time. Tone death I should it. Smh
