The Saint Lucia National Party (SNP) has announced that businessman – Brennan Fitzgerald Francis is its endorsed candidate for Castries Central.
Francis is the SNP’s first endorsed candidate.
“I will do my utmost to keep greed and selfishness out of the equation,” he told St Lucia Times.
He explained that he will try to focus on the people, especially those in need, as opposed to himself as ‘everyone else is doing’.
Francis expressed the view that it is possible to win the seat with ‘spiritual help’.
A release from the SNP disclosed that the Castries Central ‘born and bred’ candidate has been going around meeting the people of the constituency.
The party said the objective is to determine the nature of the issues confronting the people and how best these issues can be resolved with their input.
“The people of Castries Central need a representative who understands and is able to articulate their concerns. Brennan is more than capable of being the voice of the people,” according to the party release.
The Castries Central seat is currently held by Sarah Flood-Beaubrun of the ruling United Workers Party (UWP).
