A stabbing and a cutlass attack prompted responses from the Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS), according to its weekend report.
The report covered the period Friday January 15 to Monday January 18, 2021 and included other incidents.
According to SLFS spokesman, Damian Jn Baptiste, emergency personnel recorded 79 ambulance responses.
He disclosed that 27 were in the South.
Jn Baptiste said on Friday at 6.pm, a 43 year old male walked into Fire Service Headquarters and requested assistance after reporting that someone had assaulted him with a knife.
The SLFS spokesman said the patient had a laceration to his right shoulder.
As a result, emergency personnel treated and transported him to the OKEU hospital in stable condition.
On Saturday evening, the SLFS Headquarters transported a 45 year old cutlass attack victim to the OKEU Hospital.
The victim as in stable condition.
The attack occurred at New Village.
Emergency officials also transported three people to hospital as a result of road accidents at Dennery, Odsan and Babonneau.
There was also a vehicle fire at Marigot.
But no one was injured in that incident which resulted in ‘significant damage’ to the Suzuki Jimny.
