Housing Minister, Stanley Felix, has asserted that Sarah Flood-Beaubrun ran away from Castries Central for ten years.

Felix, who narrowly lost in a bid to win the seat from the incumbent, Richard Frederick, is confident that he will be victorious at the next general elections.

The Housing Minister’s confidence has not diminished in the face of the prospect that the battle for Castries Central looks likely to be a three-way fight.

Sarah Flood-Beaubrun was recently endorsed as the opposition United Workers Party (UWP) candidate for the constituency, while Richard Frederick looks likely to run as an Independent.

Stanley Felix said of Flood-Beaubrun, who is a former MP for Castries Central:

“Sarah left the constituency and disappeared.”

He accused her of having done nothing in the constituency for a long time, while he has been the person championing the cause of the people of the community.

“I have been working with Castries Central and I will continue to work with them. I am the face that they have been seeing and I am the face that I want them to see in the future, so I go to them for their support and I am sure that they will give me their support,” Felix declared.

He said that he was running on his record.

“I am very confident of a win because of what I have done in the constituency, which none of the other candidates can boast of,” the Housing Minister stated.
