Suspect Found Dead In Laborie Police Station Cell

Police have launched an investigation into the death of a male suspect in a cell at the Laborie station, multiple law enforcement sources have confirmed.

The death occurred Saturday, according to reports.

One law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity told St Lucia Times that the suspect was found hanging in the cell.

There are no further detail at this time.

  1. So the suspect does not have a name? And what was the suspect in custody for? So Dr. Watson where should we start looking for clues?

  2. That should not be reported until the name of the suspect is given or maybe the suspect is underage and the family has not been notified. Ropes are left in the cell or is the ceiling low. Policemen are trained executioners or do they taunt and threaten suspects to the point that they rather die than be at the stations. One day Karma will show the public what it has done. Shame on the reporting of the article.

  3. Wow st lucian
You all bashing the police without any facts yet
How is that related to chakadan case

    • What the hell you mean about bashing the police. This thing has been happening over and over and there you go talking about bashing the police. Is that coincidence or is that the only method that they know?

    • Reading comments like these sickens me to he core. Someone reading this garbage would think that Saint Lucian police officers are the most barbaric in the world, yet we don’t fear being killed when stopped in a traffic check, we are not shot killed when they come to search our homes. But these situations actually happen in some first world countries yet we don’t speak this way about their police officers. In fact we consider them the most professional in the world.

As it relates to the subject at hand, hanging one self is the easiest thing for one to do. And the world is replete of examples of prisoners killing or hanging themselves whilst in police custody. Remember Jeffery Epstein? Yes the multi millionaire who recently committed suicide whilst awaiting trial in the US. A prisoner can use any article of clothing to hang himself or herself. And does not need any tall area to do so. As much as two to three feet in height is sufficient to apply pressure to the neck. So don’t remain as ignorant as this. Show that you at least have some mental capacity whèn commenting.

      • Shut your face BJB with you talking about and the Epstein you mentioned was murdered to stay quiet

      • Firstly you’re a hypocrite and sound like a dirty cop yourself!!!We live in St. Lucia love our business is not to bash what happens in big countries like the US. We’ve seen police brutality happen here on countless cases with absolutely no consequence to the officers involved. BEST believe in the big countries you speak of they areeee disciplined accordingly. Here it’s a corrupted force!!!! They cover up for each other and sweep everything under the rug! We’ve seen cases where they beat young people for no Flipping reason!!!! There’s a complaints department which is crap it’s like they shred your report as soon as you turn your back! The injustice NEEDS to stop!!!!!!!!! Chakadan went as a cold case that up to this day has never been solved!!! And we allllll know that boy didn’t hang himself!!!!

    • Are you dumb??? Hellll yes it’s a similar case to chakadan!! Only the ignorant would not give the Police side eyes when we hear s*** like that!

  4. Jazz and the rest you are only speculating. You may have your suspicion but that does not make it a fact. Let the facts be revealed.

  5. According to the law, whem arrested your rights and safety becomes the responsibility of the police. That is why they confiscate belts, shoe laces and any other object that can cause harm to that inmate or others…so how did he hang himself under your care?…lawyers have your bite on this

  6. Coco when we ready we the people of st.lucia ready take care the people of vf dont drag you and youll nasty families in the street and finally get brave. A good old fashion justice. Dont worry orc 2 is in order and the new list out badboys till death. And go track my ip from the owner if this site i know youll have money. But trust me im waiting to go on ORC 2. CRIMINAL DOGS

  7. Kenny could not do it but Chastanet is having his police to do it. Well sone Chas. Don’t worry about murders let us think of the horse race on Friday.

New Testament Verse of the Day:
“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.”

  9. Here are a facts.
    1. There is no similarity between this and the Epstein case- there are still unresolved issues relating to the Epstein case- he should not have had any item in his cell that would cause him to hang himself, because he was on suicide watch.
    2. The police in St. Lucia has been beating the crap out of individuals in custody forever; especially those who are poor and cannot afford a lawyer. They get away with it because the system allows them to. Then they cover for each other. They know it; their supervisors know it; the police chief knows it. Most of these policemen are criminals themselves. The police department in ST. Lucia is corrupt, and has been forever.
    2. There should not be any item in the cell to allow an individual to hang himself in any cell- belts, shoes, and shoe laces are taken from individuals before they are placed in cells.
    3. The police must check on the individuals on a regular basis.
    4. The idea that an individual was found hanging in a cell in St. Lucia smells fishy. I can guarantee you, they killed him, then hanged him themselves and are covering up for each other. The chief of police knows it too.

  10. Corrections:

  11. It is a case for the police chief to get to the bottom of; to stop making excuses for what is the obvious; to top protecting criminal elements within the police department wearing police uniforms; to come clean with the St. Lucian public and let justice prevail. Is this too much to ask?

I am just sick and tired of the injustices that St. Lucians suffer at the hands of police; I am sick and tired of the corruption that goes on in the name of police investigation within the police force. I am tired of the complacency that we St. Lucians exhibit. We keep quiet because the travesty is someone else’s burden and pain. We should remember “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere,” and we do not know who the next victim will be- it may just be your son, brother, father. Our silence and complacency is what allows these injustices to fester. I am just tired of this; aren’t you all ?

  12. Our deficiencies are twofold, when it comes to effectiveness of our police force. It’s about leadership and training. It’s about putting the right standard operating processes in place that is gospel. Everything else is moot. This is what happens when both are lacking. One hopes that our police are only doing what they are trained to do, anything otherwise means they should not be part of the force. The blame falls squarely on those in charge.

  13. Ok now will there be CCTV in police stations and will there be a camera in the holding cells and an officer to monitor 24/7. Question?
