Suspect In Fatal Shooting Of Female At Gros Islet In Police Custody

A suspect in the fatal shooting of a 22 year old female at Pigeon Island, Gros Islet, on Sunday night, is now in police custody, according to well informed sources.

The male suspect who hails from Marchand, Castries, is reported to have surrendered to police.

The development came hours after a male relative of the deceased expressed the hope that the killer would turn himself in ‘for his own good’.

Anela Wilson of Marchand, Castries, was shot multiple times in the head after 10.00 pm on Sunday.

She died on the spot.

Hubert Kerry John of Maynard Hill, Castries who was with her at the time was wounded by gunfire and is reported to be in stable condition in hospital.
