The suspect in the murder of Canadian national, Nicole Dempster, is due to make his first appearance in court next week, law enforcement sources say.

Police charged Gros Islet resident Rohan Girard, 39, on Monday with causing Dempster’s death.

They arrested the suspect hours after officers discovered the body of the Canadian national at her residence at Beausejour, Gros Islet about 11:10 p.m. on Sunday.

A  post mortem report said her death was caused by ‘blunt force trauma to the head.’
