The new academic year opened on Monday, September 7, with students and teachers returning to classrooms under COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

Among protocols schools are to adhere to, is the wearing of face masks.

The Embassy of Taiwan to Saint Lucia has bolstered the Ministry of Education’s stock with a donation of 10, 000 face masks.

Taiwanese Ambassador, His Excellency Peter Chen, said that as a father of two, he understands the anxiety of parents as children return to the classrooms, while appreciating the hard work of Ministry of Education in managing the opening of schools.
