Teenager Among Two Males Hospitalised After Vehicle Overturns At Goodlands

Emergency personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) Headquarters in Castries transported two males aged 16 and 29 to the OKEU Hospital after a vehicle overturned at Goodlands, Castries, Sunday about 12:49 pm.

The responders said they found the teenager in the front seat of the vehicle complaining of abdominal pains while the 29-year-old was in the backseat with back pains.

Saint Lucia has been experiencing a sharp increase in road accidents, with the trend continuing despite appeals from the authorities for road users to exercise caution.

According to the police, the Island has recorded 17 road fatalities for the year.

  1. Lol. Traffic Police do absolutely NO POLICING of our roads. Only c them when to respond to accidents. Transport Dept is clueless with their inept Driving Instructors but we expect there to be a miraculous decline in accidents, Come on, by just making a Statement. Similar to the Ministers and Crime. Just make statements. Not even all u own kids listen to u all.

  2. Often time Bikers are the main cause of accidents. Simple because they don’t follow the road signs. They overtake anywhere and drive with their hazard lights on continuously. It is the new foolish fashion.
