CASTRIES, Saint Lucia, November 29th, 2016 – The month of November has been a vibrant one for the local business sector as a number of activities were held as part of Business Month. The initiative was organized by The Department of Commerce, International Trade, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs in conjunction with the Trade and Export Promotion Agency (TEPA) and a number of other sponsors. The aim of Business Month was to generate discussion on Entrepreneurship in Saint Lucia. Through the month-long calendar of activities, Business Month was able to sensitize the public on the core functions and services of the Ministry and its support units and agencies.
Business Month activities included “The Finance and Equity Symposium”, the “Digital Marketing Symposium” and the highlight of the month, the Saint Lucia/Taiwan Partnership Tradeshow. Closing off the month of activities, TEPA has opened its office to interested persons looking to take advantage of the Expo 2017 Open House Early Bird Discount. In anticipation of EXPO 2017, which promises to be a “Unique Buying Experience”, TEPA is offering a 10% discount on registration fees to interested exhibitors.
Jacqueline Emmanuel Flood, CEO of the Trade Export Promotion Agency (TEPA) noted, “EXPO 2017 represents an exclusive opportunity for both local and regional enterprises to engage with a regional audience. What better way to close off a memorable Business Month than by presenting the opportunity for exhibition at EXPO 2017 at even more attractive rates.”
TEPA’s Open House begins November 30th and affords a 10% discount to all exhibitors who sign up for EXPO 2017 during the promotion period.
Business Month was supported this year by Caribbean Export Development Agency and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Production, Fisheries and Rural Development with from Invest Saint Lucia, Saint Lucia Coalition of Service Industries, Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards, Small Business Development Centre and Saint Lucia Hotel & Tourism Association (SLHTA)
