Three Hospitalised After Vehicles Collide In Soufriere

Three people are in hospital after two vehicles collided head on in Soufriere Sunday afternoon.

The Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) said the Soufriere station received a call in relation to the crash about 3.15 pm.

As a result, an ambulance and two fire trucks from the Soufriere station responded.

Emergency  officials say when they arrived on the scene, they found that a Toyota Alphard and a Toyota Hilux had slammed into each other near the Stonefield Gap.

The officials said they had to extricate the driver of the Alphard who was trapped in the vehicle.

The responders transported the three people who sustained injuries to Soufriere Hospital.

But two were later transferred to St Jude Hospital.

However, the SLFS said the three accident victims did not appear to have sustained life-threatening injuries.
