Three Males Injured In Grande Riviere, Gros Islet Shooting

Saint Lucia police have launched an investigation into a drive-by shooting at Grande Riviere, Gros Islet Friday, that left three ‘young’ males nursing gunshot injuries.

According to investigators, the shooting occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m. But  they could not provide details regarding the extent of the injuries sustained by the victims.

Emergency responders from the Gros Islet Fire Station were dispatched to the scene and transported two of the injured men to hospital while the third was conveyed via private vehicle.

According to reports from the community, the three young men were having a drink when a vehicle drove past and unidentified occupants opened fire.

“Three guys got shot – one of them in his backside, the other one got shot through his thigh and the other one got shot like three or four times – his feet got shot, his arm and it passed through his leg – about four or five shots. I saw for myself,” a resident who spoke to St Lucia Times on condition of anonymity said.
