Three People Hospitalised After Chopping And Road Accident

The Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) transported three people to hospital after a chopping at Marigot and a road accident at Choiseul.

SLFS spokesman, Damian Jn Baptiste, disclosed that on Wednesday about 3:17pm someone requested ambulance assistance from the Castries Fire Station.

The caller reported a chopping incident at Marigot, Castries. 

Jn Baptiste explained that responding officers found the scene already under the control of Police Officers.

According to Jn Baptiste, the police stated that a 37 year old male had been physically assaulted and required assistance.

He said the patient, who was conscious, presented with a laceration to his left arm and lower back.

The SLFS spokesman said emergency responders treated the injured man and transported him to the OKEU Hospital in a stable condition.

The fire service also responded to a report of a collision between a pickup van and a motorcycle at Choiseul.

The accident occurred near Massy stores on Wednesday evening.

An ambulance from Vieux Fort Fire Station and another from Soufriere Fire Station responded to the call. 

Emergency responders  treated two people, a male and a female,  and transported them to St  Jude Hospital.

The SLFS spokesman said both were in stable condition at the time.
