Three People Hospitalised After Vehicle Accident At Union

Emergency personnel rushed two men and a woman to the OKEU hospital Saturday afternoon after a vehicle accident at Union, Castries.

According to reports, a car was heading down the hill when it veered off the road near Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary School and ended up in a drain.

A Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) official told St Lucia Times that emergency personnel received a distress call around 3:50 pm.

As a result, fire service headquarters  in Castries and the Babonneau fire station responded.

The responders reported that the driver and two passengers on board the vehicle had sustained ‘severe injuries’.

There are no further details at this time.

  2. i travel on it most mornings and going downhill the bus drivers nt easy on that road…as for the 2 lane i see drivers overtaking and speeding going up like mad… me prayers are at the tip of my tongue travelling on that road…truly you guys saying its a death trap are so right…God have mercy on our intelligent road designers

  3. This is the third accident I know of in this area. Perhaps there are more unrecorded on that road in the same dangerous area that road is a death trap. The area needs railings in addition there are two lanes for ascending traffic and then creates a bottle neck this is ridiculous. The work.was.approved and someone got paid smh. I pray for a speedy recovery by God’s grace.

      Bottle neck at the top.. we definitely got some brilliant road designers
