The French navy seized a massive 4.2 tons of cocaine off Barbados on January 17.
That’s according to Martinique media reports.
Martinique France Antilles reported Wednesday that the navy frigate, Germinal, confiscated the drugs from a fishing boat.
The publication said the boat was flying the Venezuelan flag when the navy intercepted it during an Atlantic ocean patrol.
Nearly two hundred bundles tested positive for cocaine.
Officials later destroyed the haul in Fort de France.
And they handed the fishing boat crew over to Venezuelan law enforcement authorities.
The French Navy said in a release that it carried out the anti-drug operation with the help of several foreign countries and agencies.
