Truck Driver Killed In Ciceron Accident Identified

Saint Lucia police have identified a male killed in a truck accident Monday as Rudolph Etienne of Bexon.

Police spokeswoman, Anne Joseph, told reporters Tuesday that the accident occurred about 2.20 pm in Monkey Town, Ciceron.

Police spokeswoman Anne Joseph

Joseph said a truck Etienne was driving apparently ran off the road.

She said as a result of the incident he succumbed at Victoria Hospital after being taken there by ambulance.

“We are looking into what may or may not have contributed to his demise,” Joseph explained, adding that the results of a post mortem examination are being awaited.

Emergency officials said Monday that Etienne was the only occupant of the vehicle when it overturned.

They said he was trapped and had to be extricated.

  1. Many of the Caribbean countries that I go to, I notice that there are vehicles on the road that should not be on the road. There are vehicles with one headlight and no back lights; many vehicles have bald tires; and some look like they are held together with crazy glue. I often wonder how these vehcles pass inspetion.
