T&T: Teenage bandits held after robbing maxi

Trinidad Express:-FIVE teenaged bandits robbed a maxi-taxi and beat three people in the vehicle — including a 73-year-old woman — before four were held by police in Port of Spain yesterday.

Police said around 8.40 a.m. the five teenagers, all between the ages of 17 to 19 and from Production Drive in Sea Lots, held up a small red-band Toyota Hiace maxi-taxi at Abattoir Road, Port of Spain just after it had left the City Gate terminal.

During the robbery they beat a 73-year-old woman, a 31-year-old man and the maxi taxi’s 41-year-old driver.

They then fled.
