T&T Woman Dies After Attack By Pet Rottweiler

A 56-year-old D’Abadie woman is dead after being attacked by her pet Rottweiler at her home on Tuesday (19 January 2021) night.

Gaytrie Chanderpaul, of #10, Andrew Lane, D’Abadie, died an hour after she was attacked by her pet.

According to a police report, at about 6:45 pm, Chanderpaul was about to give her dog (a Rottweiler) a treat when she was attacked and bitten in several places about her body.

Chanderpaul was taken to the Arima Health Facility by her 32-year-old daughter, Mandy Chanderpaul, of the same address.  However, she succumbed to her injuries at about 7:45 pm.
