Two Babonneau residents have been charged for possession, intent to supply, attempting to export and handling cocaine after the drug was found in a shipment of bananas on the Castries wharf, police say.
Customs officers say they discovered the two kilos of cocaine during a routine search.
Police say on Friday about 9.30 am Adrian Popo and Tommy Delice of Cacao, Babonneau, were charged in connection with the cocaine find.
They were individually bailed on Monday in the sum of $EC 25,000 on each of the charges, cash or suitable surety, according to law enforcement officials.
