Two held in Vieux Fort double homicide

Two young men have been held in connection with the August 6, 2016 double homicide at Bruceville, Vieux Fort.

Reliable sources have told the Times that the two were picked up by the Police on the same day that the homicides occurred.

The detainees have been described as persons of interest in the case.

They are reportedly from Bruceville and are said to be in their twenties.

Police believe that the young men have information relating to the deaths of  Trent Travis Eugene, known as Jupin of Banse Laborie and Clint Felix AKA Black Boy of Micoud,  who were gunned down in Bruceville.

Residents nearby had earlier reported hearing shots being fired in the area.

Reliable sources have told the Times that the killings on August 6, 2016 appear to have been in reprisal for a double homicide last month in Bruceville, where two young men were gunned down by a masked assailant.
