Two Hospitalised After Separate Road Incidents

The Saint Lucia Fire Service transported two people to hospital after separate road accidents over the past 24 hours.

At 2:26pm Tuesday, The Dennery Fire Station responded to an incident at Fond D’Or, Dennery. 

“An 18 year old male cyclist had run into an oncoming car,” Fire Service spokesman, Damian Jn Baptiste disclosed.

He said as a result, the cyclist sustained abrasions to his body.

Jn Baptiste said emergency responders treated the patient and transported him to Dennery Hospital in stable condition.

On  Wednesday at 8.43 am,  Fire Service Headquarters responded to a motor vehicle collision at Cedars, Castries.

The head-on collision occurred between a minibus and a motorcar.

Jn Baptiste said a 33 year old female passenger on the minibus complained of pain to her leg and shoulder.

He said emergency personnel treated her.

They later transported the patient to the OKEU Hospital  in stable condition, he stated.
