Two men are currently in police custody in connection with Saturday’s double homicide at Bruceville, Vieux Fort.
However Superintendent of Police with responsibility for Crime Management, George Nicholas, says no charges have been laid.
According to Nicholas, about 1.10 am on Saturday Vieux Fort police responded to an incident at Bruceville, Vieux Fort in which Benjamin Poleon of Belle Vue, Vieux Fort and Harvey Estephane of Pierrot, Vieux Fort, were shot and succumbed to their injuries.
He told reporters at a news conference Tuesday morning that the two deceased were involved in an apparent altercation with unknown assailants.
