Emergency personnel rushed two males to St Jude Hospital Saturday morning, after a motorcycle accident at Industry, Choiseul.
Responders say the motorcycle was overtaking a vehicle at the time of the accident.
They disclosed that the bike collided with an oncoming car about 9.20 am.
As a result, both the rider and passenger on the bike sustained multiple injuries.
An official told St Lucia Times that Vieux Fort and Soufriere fire stations responded with an ambulance each.
According to the official, the ambulance from Vieux Fort transported the bike passenger to hospital, whereas the Soufriere ambulance transported the rider.
Reports indicate that the bike passenger’s injuries were ‘more severe’ than that of the rider.
Emergency responders told St Lucia Times that the passenger sustained injuries that included lacerations to the shoulder.
The responders also said his right leg from the knee downward had been ‘crushed’.
