Two Men Charged In Gros Islet Shooting

Gros Islet CID have charged two men in connection with a shooting incident in which Eden Charles, also known as ‘Eve,’ sustained gunshot injuries on Saturday, October 9, 2021, in Gros Islet.

Police say the men are to appear before the court on Friday, October 15, 2021.

According to law enforcement officials, investigators charged 25-year old D’ Andre Langillier of Beausejour for the offence of Aiding and Abetting Attempted Murder and 23-year-old Tony Augustin of Chase Gardens for the offence of Attempted Murder and Discharging A Firearm in a public place.

Gros Islet residents said that Eden Charles, alias ‘Eve,’ was outside a restaurant on Marie Therese Street when a vehicle pulled up, and he was shot at least twice in the upper body. Multiple vehicles were also damaged.

Residents toldĀ St Lucia Times that law enforcement officers on patrol in the area rushed to the scene, went in hot pursuit of the vehicle, which they intercepted, and arrested two male suspects on board.
