Police Commissioner, Milton Desir, has ordered two police officers to proceed on vacation leave amid a probe into an alleged brawl at the Canaries police station.

Desir confirmed to St Lucia Times Thursday that he had instructed the two men to go on leave.

The confirmation came amid reports that two police officers engaged in a verbal exchange at the Canaries station Wednesday night.

One of the men is a Special Police Constable (SPC).

They said that a firearm was drawn during the incident.
