Unvaccinated Man Denied Heart Transplant By Boston Hospital

BBC News:- A US hospital has rejected a patient for a heart transplant at least in part because he is not vaccinated against Covid-19.

DJ Ferguson, 31, is in dire need of a new heart, but Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston took him off their list, said his father, David.

He said the Covid vaccine goes against his son’s “basic principles, he doesn’t believe in it”.

The hospital said it was following policy.

Brigham and Women’s Hospital told the BBC in a statement: “Given the shortage of available organs, we do everything we can to ensure that a patient who receives a transplanted organ has the greatest chance of survival.”

A spokesman said the hospital requires “the Covid-19 vaccine, and lifestyle behaviours for transplant candidates to create both the best chance for a successful operation and to optimise the patient’s survival after transplantation, given that their immune system is drastically suppressed”.

The hospital’s carefully worded statement may suggest other factors lie beyond the patient’s unvaccinated status for his ineligibility, but it refused to discuss specifics, citing patient privacy.

The hospital added that most of the 100,000 people on waitlists for organ transplants will not receive an organ within five years because of the shortage of available organs.

  1. you vaxxed gods stop this foolishness……the man has other issues they wont say but can boldy come and say he is not vaxxed??? so where is the confidentiality in than?? by now we should realise no world system is for us…if last year and this year has not taught us that then i do not know what will

  2. He doesn’t trust the vaccine because he fear it may harm but he trust the heart that doctors is putting inside him which his body may reject and cause him his death. I am with the hospital on that one. You’re not vaccinated no transplant for you. Lol

  3. It is very evident that the four of you above did not read the article in full but took the headline and ran with it. However, if you did read the article then all four of you have shamed your primary school for not comprehending what is written.

The article clearly states that they hospital suggests that other underlying factors have affected the decision but due to patient confidentiality they cannot say what these conditions are. The article is coming from the opinion of the father who is quoted as saying ” “basic principles, he doesn’t believe in it” for his sons refusal to take the vaccine.

To transplant an obviously healthy organ into someone with underlying issues who’s body is more likely to reject the organ because of these underlying issues would have been the travesty here. You all need so stop with this vaccinated vs unvaccinated, we all made a choice to take it or not, so deal with the repercussions of either decision.

    Stop being so uninformed.

  4. Jesus is coming back soon. What if he takes the vaccine and he gets blood clots that kills him. What will they say now

  5. sometimes you people have some policies that makes no damn sense i am pretty sure this has violated this mans rights in every way. they should sue that hospital because i know that every medical person has taken an oath to help people especially those who have these white coats.

Tapion Hospital has a motto that says” the patient comes first” i think they should revise that motto cause if you dont have money they will never put you first and also if you have corvid they will never see you for the simplest of thing as a head scan

  6. Take it and it will save your life. Yet they have no care about saving this man’s life. The masks are falling off these vile creatures day by day. As a regular blood donor I will make a request that my blood go only to the unvaxxed. If not blood donations done.
