US Coast Guard Makes Major Drug Bust In Caribbean Sea

The US Coast Guard arrested three suspected drug smugglers and seized some 2, 606 pounds of cocaine in a Caribbean sea operation, it has been reported.

The drug bust occurred earlier this week, according to CMC.

CMC reported the Coast Guard as saying that  it had collaborated with the Caribbean Border Interagency Group (CBIG) law enforcement authorities in seizing the US$30 million cocaine shipment on Tuesday.

“This interdiction is the result of ongoing multi-agency law enforcement efforts in support of Operations Full Court Press, Operation Caribbean Guard and the Caribbean Border Interagency Group,” the US Coast Guard said.

The case is reported to have involved  a high-speed chase of over 10 hours in challenging weather conditions.

The US Coast Guard said the crew of two Customs and Border Protection Caribbean Air and Marine Branch maritime patrol aircraft also responded and supported the interdiction by maintaining aerial surveillance of a go-fast vessel.

  2. Shame very few listened to Regis the ex police comisioner,I believe that the country should have the right to listen to his presentation and not just a few selected.I challenge all,the authorities to get him to do another presentation,to an open audience, and bring him on the TV,for all to see and learn. What he said, nobody has said in this country.

  3. The one thing I have to add is when you chasing these boats, remember this boat might be the rabbit, and there are two or three more making the run,in another area, away from the chase.
