US Coast Guard Suspends Search For Cruise Ship Crew Member

The search for a missing 37 year old crew member of Carnival Victory has been suspended, news reports out of Miami say.

Local10.Com quoted the US Coast Guard as saying that the man went overboard about 30 miles northwest of Cuba.

The incident is reported to have occurred on Thursday while the vessel was returning to Miami.

After searching about 2,600 nautical miles, the Coast Guard was unable to find the man, Local10.Com reported.

WSVN News identified the missing Crew member as father of three, Gaffar Satwilka.
