Vehicle Collides with Railing on Castries Waterfront

Three occupants of a vehicle are reported to have escaped serious injury when a Kia car collided with a metal step railing opposite the NIC building on the Castries waterfront this evening.

The incident occurred a little before 6:00 p.m.

It appeared to have been a narrow miss for the vehicle which looked likely to have plunged into the sea with its occupants had it not been for the railing.

The Castries waterfront has been the scene where many vehicles have in the past plunged into the harbor prompting calls for the erection of appropriate barricades.
